Just a quick post to share a fabulous London-themed costume party I was invited to on the weekend. My friend had decided she’d minded the gap long enough and was heading home to Germany. En-route, she asked her friends to celebrate in a costume inspired by the tube map. The results were hilarious. I do love a good theme party and this one worked a treat, complete with iconic underground decorations that are easy to DIY. There were accountants for “Bank”, a baker for “Baker Street” and a Liverpool supporter for “Liverpool Street”. Among the other creative interpretations was an elephant and a castle for “Elephant and Castle”, Barbie and Ken for “Barbican” and a blackboard mask for “Chalk Farm”. And the host? She created a spin on the station that makes the tourists chuckle, “Cockfosters”. You may use your imagination now. As for me, well my friend Gareth and I performed a double act. Can you guess which tube station took our fancy? What would you have dressed-up as?
